Apple has scheduled the release of its next-generation operating systems, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27, for September 15. The update introduces visual refinements to the Liquid Glass interface, featuring improved refraction and contrast, alongside new adjustment sliders for user customization.
System performance enhancements include faster application launch times for iPhone and iPad, as well as increased speeds for AirDrop transfers. Apple Watch users will gain access to additional widgets within the Smart Stack, allowing for quick tasks such as checking parking locations, managing sleep alarms, or viewing transit card balances.
The visionOS update for Apple Vision Pro introduces eye-tracking features for notifications, enabling users to preview and expand alerts simply by looking at them. Furthermore, Apple has expanded its child safety features, including a setup assistant for app access, a request-to-browse function for new websites, and communication safety tools to filter sensitive content.
Users can access these updates through the Apple Beta Software Program for public versions or via the Apple Developer Program for preview builds. Both update paths are accessible through the settings menu under General and Software Update.
