Apple is reportedly preparing to launch a redesigned MacBook Pro featuring an OLED display and touchscreen capabilities. According to reports, the device is expected to arrive in October or November 2026. The new model will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, marking the most significant hardware overhaul since 2021.

The transition to OLED technology aims to improve contrast, response times, and black levels. Samsung Display is reportedly producing the panels using an 8.6-generation line, with projections suggesting a supply of approximately 2 million units for 2026. The screen will utilize On-Cell touch technology, integrating sensors directly into the panel.

The design will feature a thinner chassis and a reinforced hinge to accommodate touch interactions. The traditional display notch is expected to be replaced by a Dynamic Island-style cutout for the camera. While the processor remains unconfirmed, speculation points to either the M5 or M6 series chips.

Apple may position this device as a premium 'MacBook Ultra' line, sitting above the standard MacBook Pro models. Pricing is expected to exceed the current 14-inch and 16-inch models, which start at $1,999 and $2,499 respectively. Official specifications and release dates have not been confirmed by the company.
