Apple unveiled several new products at its September event, including the iPhone Duo, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, and the AirPods 5, which now feature active noise cancellation. Additionally, the company introduced the Siri Recap feature for the Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4.

Despite persistent rumors throughout the year, Apple did not announce AirPods Pro with integrated cameras. According to reports from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, the release of such a device has been delayed until 2027, potentially to address technical challenges or privacy concerns.

The rumored camera technology is intended to support Siri AI and Visual Intelligence, helping users with navigation or object identification rather than capturing traditional video. Apple has emphasized data privacy, noting that features like Siri Recap use end-to-end encryption and do not store audio recordings.

The company also introduced Audio Intelligence for the Apple Watch, which may serve as a precursor to future visual-based features. While potential benefits include improved accessibility for users with visual or hearing impairments, the integration of cameras into wearable devices remains a subject of debate.
