Apple is reportedly redesigning the internal structure of its next-generation MacBook Pro models. According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the company is shrinking and rearranging components to achieve a significant reduction in the device's overall weight.

The upcoming laptop is expected to feature an OLED touchscreen, marking a potential first for the MacBook Pro line. Previous reports suggest the device may also incorporate a thinner chassis and replace the current display notch with a Dynamic Island interface.

While the exact weight reduction remains undisclosed, the update aims to improve portability. For context, the current 16-inch MacBook Pro, equipped with M5 Pro or M5 Max chips, weighs between 2.14 and 2.15 kilograms, compared to the 1.5-kilogram 15-inch MacBook Air.

The release of the redesigned model is tentatively projected for October or November of this year. Apple has not yet provided official confirmation regarding the product's specifications, final naming, processor configurations, or pricing details.
