Apple has officially launched the AirPods 5 wireless earbuds, with pricing starting at ¥999. The version bundled with a wireless charging case is priced at ¥1149. Customers in Beijing, Jiangsu, Dalian, and Jilin are eligible for a 15% government subsidy, with trade-in incentives reaching up to ¥220.

The AirPods 5 feature an open-ear design and are the first in this category to include active noise cancellation, which Apple claims is up to 50% more effective than the previous generation. The device incorporates a new acoustic architecture inspired by the AirPods Pro 3, along with adaptive equalization and personalized spatial audio.

Hardware improvements include a force sensor on the stem for volume control and a redesigned battery. With active noise cancellation enabled, the earbuds provide up to 5 hours of playback on a single charge, an increase of 1 hour over the predecessor. Total battery life with the charging case reaches 22 hours.

The earbuds support Siri interaction via head gestures and feature adaptive audio that dynamically adjusts between transparency mode and noise cancellation. Government subsidies for digital appliances remain active through 2026, offering 15% off on 3C products up to a maximum discount of ¥500.
