The upcoming Apple Home Hub smart home device is expected to feature a standby interface similar to the iPhone Duo StandBy mode. Leaked settings indicate that users will be able to display photos from iCloud, including memories and shared albums, directly on the device screen. The system will prompt users to configure these photo settings during the initial device activation.

Reports suggest the Home Hub will sport a 6-inch display, resembling a square iPad mounted on a hemispherical metal base reminiscent of the iMac G4. While the device may lack a full App Store, it is expected to support widgets and applications such as Calendar, Weather, Music, Messages, and Reminders. The hub will likely include sensors to detect user proximity and distinguish between family members to provide personalized content.

The interface design is centered around clock displays and photo slideshows. According to Bloomberg, users will have the option to switch between various standby modes. Industry rumors point to an October 13 announcement for the device, which is expected to integrate Apple Intelligence features, though Apple has not yet officially confirmed these details.
