Anthropic has officially filed for an initial public offering on the Nasdaq exchange. The company, which develops the Claude AI models, plans to trade under the ticker symbol ANT.

The filing follows a period of rapid financial growth for the firm. Anthropic reported revenue of $16,3 billion for the first half of 2026, representing a 14-fold increase compared to the previous year.

Despite the surge in revenue, the company also disclosed a substantial net loss. Analysts at Winton ARK have characterized the firm's performance over the last 12 months as historic for U.S. financial markets.

Market estimates for the company's private-market valuation currently range between $1,5 trillion and $2 trillion. The IPO positions Anthropic to become a potential mega-cap public entity.

Future developments regarding the IPO may be influenced by strategic partnerships with companies such as Amazon and Google. Market participants are also monitoring potential new funding rounds and enterprise contracts.
