Each of the seven co-founders of Anthropic holds a stake valued at over $13 billion. According to Bloomberg, these individuals each own approximately 1.4% of the company, with estimates ranging between 1% and 2%.

The valuation follows a Series H funding round in May 2026, where the company raised $65 billion, reaching a post-money valuation of $965 billion. Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt also maintains a stake of roughly 1% from the Series A round in 2021.

Anthropic reported revenue of $16.8 billion for the third quarter of 2026, representing a 46% increase year-over-year. Despite this growth, the company continues to record substantial losses, which it attributes to non-cash accounting items.

The company is preparing for an initial public offering scheduled for November 2026. During investor discussions, the potential valuation for the upcoming listing has been estimated between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion.

Anthropic operates as a public-benefit corporation focused on AI safety. To maintain control, the co-founders established a Founder LLC, which grants them a combined 50.1% of the voting power, despite owning a smaller fraction of the company's economics.
