Ant International has launched a dedicated business account for AI agents, integrated into its WorldFirst brand. The system utilizes smart contracts for identity verification, real-time monitoring, and manual intervention capabilities. This initiative is part of a broader suite of nearly 100 AI-driven financial products introduced at the VOYAGE merchant event in Shanghai.

The company introduced AgentSafePay, which provides a 100% guarantee against financial losses caused by AI errors, such as prompt injections or misread instructions. Additionally, the Agentic Mobile Protocol enables agent-to-agent transactions as small as $0.000001. This protocol currently connects 10 wallet partners and seven acquirers within a network serving 150 million merchants.

Internal data from Ant International indicates that 89.5% of clients using the Antom brand have deployed FinAI products over the past year, with AI assisting in 81.4% of payment tasks. The company is also collaborating with Visa and Mastercard on an interoperability framework through the BuildFin.ai platform to standardize agent identification across various financial networks.

The broader industry is actively developing infrastructure for machine-based payments. Stripe has updated its Link wallet to allow AI agents to process payments, while a coalition including Stripe, Coinbase, and Cloudflare has established a foundation for the x402 protocol. Meanwhile, Ant International continues to leverage its WhaleRTP blockchain platform, which handled 45% of its cross-border volume in 2025.
