Amazon has updated its Fire TV Stick 4K, featuring a slimmer design and faster performance, which the company claims is 20% to 40% faster than leading competitors. The device includes 8GB of storage, a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

The hardware supports multiple video formats, including HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, H.265, H.264, VP9, and AV1, with output resolutions up to 2160p at 60 frames per second. The stick can be powered directly via a TV USB port.

A major update is the redesigned remote control. It features a new shape, a dedicated favorites button, and tactile buttons for easier use in the dark. The blue Alexa button has been replaced with a subtle microphone button, and the home button now has a metallic finish.

The Fire TV Stick 4K is priced at $59.99, with an initial launch discount bringing the price to $29.99. The new remote is also available for separate purchase. The product is launching in the U.S., Canada, Japan, Mexico, the U.K., and several other countries.
