The updated Fire TV Stick 4K is now available for $59.99. The device no longer requires a dedicated power adapter, as it can draw energy directly from a television USB port. It features Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and Bluetooth Low Energy, running on a refreshed version of the Amazon TV operating system.

Amazon has streamlined its streaming hardware lineup, which now consists of four models: Fire TV Stick HD, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and Fire TV Cube. The new 4K model replaces the previous Select and Plus versions. Additionally, the company introduced a redesigned remote with tactile controls, compatible with Fire TV devices released since 2019.

The new remote will be sold separately for $14.99 starting in late October. A premium Plus version, featuring an aluminum body, backlit buttons, and a remote-finding function, is scheduled for release early next year. Software updates include an Alexa Plus Hub and enhanced AI capabilities for movie and show recommendations based on real-world context.

The Fire TV mobile app will receive Alexa Plus integration, and a new Amazon Music app is expected to launch later this fall. This music application will allow users to request podcast and music suggestions through Alexa. These updates aim to improve the interaction between the streaming platform and the company's voice assistant.
