Allara, a virtual platform for women's health, has secured $30 million in a new funding round. This investment brings the company's total capital raised to $75 million. The round saw increased commitments from existing investors Index Ventures and GV, with new participation from Camino Partners, Foreground, and Family Fund.
The company provides a virtual, insurance-covered care model that integrates hormonal, metabolic, and reproductive health services. Allara pairs patients with clinicians and registered dietitians to create personalized treatment plans. To date, the platform has served more than 120,000 women across various life stages and conditions, including thyroid disorders and PCOS, now referred to as PMOS.
Allara plans to utilize the new capital to scale its operations and enhance its technological capabilities. The company is developing AI tools designed to reduce administrative burdens for providers and support patient care throughout the treatment journey. Additionally, Allara intends to expand its distribution through partnerships with employers and health systems.
The business model relies on insurance reimbursements, supplemented by cash-pay services and prescriptions. Allara emphasizes long-term patient relationships to maintain capital efficiency. The company also aims to leverage its large dataset to contribute to research in understudied areas of women's health, such as endometriosis and GLP-1 treatment outcomes.
