Alfa Romeo presented its Cuorerosso concept car at the Paris Motor Show last week. The vehicle features a fastback design and serves as a preview for the brand's next-generation design language. A key focus of the new interior is the reduction of screen size and complexity, moving away from the current industry trend of maximizing display areas.

Chief Designer Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos stated that large screens will become obsolete in a few years. He argues that current designs are overly dependent on displays, which dictate dashboard layouts and increase costs. The concept aims to prioritize minimalism, allowing for the integration of physical controls for essential functions like climate settings.

The Cuorerosso interior features a redesigned classic circular instrument cluster. Two circular screens handle navigation and vehicle data, with the ability to be hidden when not in use. The center console, named Magma, utilizes physical buttons and knobs, supplemented by a small projection area for secondary information that remains concealed until needed.
