Alchera Technologies, a startup based in Cambridge, secured £2.7 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Maven Capital Partners, which contributed £2 million through the British Business Bank’s South West Investment Fund.

Additional funding came from the Baves Entrepreneurship Fund, The FSE Group, and Innovate UK’s Investor Partnership programme. Existing investor Cambridge Applied Research also participated in the round.

Founded in 2016, the company develops an AI-driven platform for local authorities and highway operators. It integrates transport data to assist in managing road and bus networks, including clients like Lancashire City Council and the City of York Council.

The platform utilizes machine learning to process transport data, reducing analysis time from weeks to seconds. This technology aims to support infrastructure decision-making by consolidating fragmented data sources into a unified view.
