A survey conducted at the Microelectronics 2026 forum covered 74 companies within the industry. The research focused on five key areas of AI integration: management, analytics, development, product features, and local inference.

Most participants utilize AI in at least two of the surveyed categories. A significant number of companies implement AI across all five areas, while those using no AI tools at all represent a smaller, equal share to those using exactly three.

Companies primarily apply AI for tasks such as data analysis, software development, and production process monitoring. While local inference is recognized as important for security, many firms still rely on foreign cloud providers due to funding constraints.

Only one surveyed company reported using a domestic Russian cloud provider for AI tasks. The current adoption of AI across the industry is described as largely driven by enthusiasm rather than systematic, deep integration.
