San Francisco-based startup Town has achieved unicorn status following a $108 million Series B funding round. The investment, which brings the company's valuation to $1 billion, was co-led by Forerunner Ventures and Menlo Ventures. The company reached this milestone just months after its public launch in June 2026.
The funding round included participation from existing investors a16z and First Round Capital. New backers joining the cap table include Better Tomorrow Ventures, Precedent.vc, Scribble Ventures, Serena Ventures, and Sparked Ventures. Prior to this, the company raised $18 million in a seed round in March 2025 and $55 million in a Series A round.
Town develops AI assistants known as Townies, which integrate with platforms like Slack, Gmail, and Google Workspace. These agents are designed to function as proactive assistants for teams, managing tasks and coordinating workflows. The company reported reaching seven-figure annual recurring revenue shortly after its public debut.
The company was founded by individuals with backgrounds in major tech firms. Greze previously held the position of chief technology officer at Plaid, while Vincent served as a product lead within the applied AI division at Google.
