Agility Robotics is integrating Nyobolt battery technology into its next-generation Digit 5 humanoid robot. The new system allows the robot to operate for 90 minutes after a 9-minute charge, achieving a 10:1 work-to-charge ratio compared to the 2:1 ratio of the previous Digit 4 model.
The company aims for the robot to remain operational for over 20 hours within a 24-hour period. This improvement is designed to support more than two full work shifts per day, enhancing the utilization of robot fleets in manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics sectors.
Early trials for the Digit 5 are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027, with supply expected to scale over the following 6 to 9 months. The battery technology is intended to provide higher power output while maintaining a smaller and lighter form factor.
Agility Robotics is currently pursuing a merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, after which the company plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol AGLT.
