UK digital bank Zopa has introduced AI-powered voice technology for its banking services. The new feature allows customers to manage daily financial tasks, including money transfers and invoice payments, through voice commands.
The service is currently available to all Zopa current account holders. The bank, which serves over two million customers, developed the tool using its proprietary AI platform and agentic architecture.
Users can interact with the digital assistant by voice or written chat. The system is designed to remember user preferences and personalize financial management, such as processing bills after a user captures an image of the document.
Clare Gambardella, Zopa's chief customer officer, stated that the new tool aims to simplify money management and assist users in planning and making financial decisions in real time.
