Agility Robotics is set to become a publicly traded company through a SPAC merger, aiming to raise $465 million in new capital. The company, founded in 2015 as a spin-out from Oregon State University, focuses on deploying its Digit robots for repetitive industrial tasks.

In the first half of 2026, Agility reported revenue of $174,000 against a loss of $362 million. The company has deployed robots with nine customers, including GXO, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Schaeffler, and Mercado Libre, with over 100,000 totes moved at a single GXO facility.

The company has secured $300 million in planned contracts from 30 customers for its upcoming Digit 5 model. This new version is designed to operate safely alongside humans. Prototypes are scheduled for demonstration at CES 2027, with wide availability expected by the end of that year.

Agility claims its robots can save companies $100,000 annually under a robot-as-a-service model. Prospective clients must pay $500,000 for an on-site proof of concept. As of May 2026, four customers had signed up for this process.

The company reports having 65,000 hours of real operational data from customer facilities to train its systems. While production targets remain undisclosed, Agility states its facility has the capacity to manufacture 10,000 robots annually.
