Zipline, a South San Francisco-based autonomous drone delivery firm, is reportedly negotiating a new funding round of approximately $1 billion. This deal would value the company at $20 billion, a significant increase from its current valuation of $7.6 billion.

The company previously closed a Series H round in 2026 totaling $800 million, split between a $600 million initial tranche in January and a $200 million extension in March. This followed a Series F valuation of $4.2 billion in 2023.

To date, Zipline has secured between $1.8 billion and $2.0 billion in total funding. The potential new investment would bring the company's cumulative capital raised to nearly $3 billion.

Zipline has completed over 2 million commercial deliveries globally and reports a 15% weekly growth rate in domestic volumes. The company utilizes two systems: Platform 1 for long-range logistics and Platform 2 for short-distance home deliveries.

The company is in talks with the FAA to scale operations, with plans to support up to 220,000 daily deliveries in Texas. Zipline, founded in 2014, has expanded from medical supply logistics in Rwanda and Ghana into retail and food delivery, including a partnership with Uber Eats.
