Zeekr, a brand owned by Geely, is expanding its presence in the European market by focusing on value propositions rather than traditional brand heritage. The company currently operates in 22 European countries and plans to reach a network of 200 sales and service locations by the end of this year.
According to European CEO Lothar Schupet, the company has seen a 200% year-on-year increase in local sales. The brand's lineup includes models such as the 001, X, 7X, 8X, 9X, and 7GT. At the Paris Motor Show, the company introduced the facelifted 7X and the flagship 9X model.
To address concerns regarding vehicle depreciation, Zeekr is implementing strategies such as offering five-year warranties and avoiding the sale of low-specification models that could dilute the used-car market. The brand maintains design and R&D facilities in Gothenburg.
The competitive landscape in Europe remains significant, with the Geely Group reporting 225,350 vehicles sold in the region during the first half of this year. This performance places the group ahead of manufacturers such as Ford, Tesla, Nissan, and Mazda.
