MTS reports a significant increase in investments in cloud-based video surveillance systems among small and medium-sized businesses in the Zabaykalsky Krai region. From the beginning of 2026, companies in the catering, service, and parcel pickup sectors have invested 20% more in these technologies compared to the entire year of 2025.

Parcel pickup points in Chita lead the regional trend, having installed 1.5 times more smart cameras than in the same period last year. These systems utilize stationary rotating cameras with optical zoom, allowing owners to monitor inventory, staff, and customer interactions remotely via smartphones or tablets.

The implemented video surveillance solutions feature end-to-end encryption and cloud storage for a minimum of 30 days. According to Denis Boyko, director of MTS in the Zabaykalsky Krai, businesses are adopting these tools to manage operational risks, resolve disputes, and optimize costs without requiring significant capital expenditures.

The adoption of these systems is particularly high in Chita, where many pickup points operate in residential areas or shopping centers with high traffic during sales and holidays. AI-based video analytics allow businesses to automate monitoring processes, reducing the need for constant manual oversight of daily operations.
