YouTube has expanded its suite of AI-powered creator tools, first introduced in 2025. The platform is launching an AI agent designed to optimize channels by monitoring back catalogs for trending content and suggesting updates to titles and thumbnails. The tool can also analyze audience demographics to generate pitches for potential brand sponsors.

New features include automated generation of thumbnails and titles based on video content. Creators can now upload up to three different thumbnails for a single video, allowing the system to display the best-performing option to specific audience segments to maximize watch time.

The platform is introducing A/B testing for video structure, enabling creators to test three versions of a video with different intros or hooks. The system directs these versions to small audience groups to identify the most effective one. Creators can manually select a winner, or the system will automatically apply the best-performing version after seven days.

Amjad Hanif, vice president of creator products, stated that these tools aim to save time for creators. While the company declined to provide specific data on whether these features improve overall performance metrics, YouTube emphasizes that the primary goal is to allow creators to focus more on the creative process.
