Yangwang, the ultra-luxury division of BYD, has announced plans to unveil a new executive sedan, currently known by the internal codename HU, in the United Arab Emirates. Hu Xiaoqing, general manager of the brand's sales division, confirmed the location for the upcoming debut via Weibo, though specific dates and venues remain undisclosed.
While official specifications are pending, industry reports suggest the vehicle may reach a length of approximately 5.5 meters. Earlier teasers from the company indicate the inclusion of new proprietary technologies, and spy shots have revealed a design featuring a long hood, an extended wheelbase, and a roof-mounted LiDAR system.
Market expectations place the potential price of the sedan above ¥2 000 000, or approximately $297 650. This model is intended to strengthen Yangwang's position in the high-end executive segment, following the recent launch of the U8L Dingcang Edition SUV, which debuted in August with a starting price of ¥1 458 000.
The brand has not yet provided details regarding local sales plans or the official commercial name for the HU sedan. Management has stated that further information about the event preparations and the rationale behind the choice of the UAE as the unveiling location will be shared at a later date.
