Yandex has restored access to 96 percent of data stored on its Yandex Disk cloud service. Users can now download previously uploaded documents, photos, and media files, although the availability of specific files may vary depending on the individual account status.
The company is currently restoring data in stages by distributing workloads across independent third-party platforms. Yandex reports that the number of accessible files is increasing daily for its users as the recovery process continues.
Core cloud functions, including file uploads, downloads, and synchronization, are operational. While browser-based bulk downloads of folders and multiple files are currently limited, these features remain available through the desktop application and API.
Yandex 360 services have also regained basic functionality, with full feature sets expected to return over time. The company is providing regular updates on the progress of these restoration efforts via a dedicated status page.
The service disruptions followed three separate attacks on Yandex data centers located in Sasovo, Kaluga, and Vladimir. The company confirmed that its supercomputers remained unaffected by these incidents.
To compensate for the disruption, Yandex has suspended fees for cloud infrastructure and office services until the end of the month. The firm continues to work on restoring all mobile application features.
