Yandex has suspended operations at its data center in Vladimir following a drone attack. The company confirmed that there were no injuries and that emergency services are currently addressing the damage. Yandex Cloud is working to restore services, though the company has officially declared the current platform status as emergency mode.
Users have reported widespread outages across several Yandex services, including Yandex Go, Yandex Pay, Yandex Music, Kinopoisk, and Smart Home with Alice. The company warned that technical support channels may experience instability as they manage the ongoing infrastructure issues.
This incident follows previous drone attacks that impacted Yandex data centers in Sasovo, Ryazan Region, and Kaluga. The facility in Sasovo was forced to shut down after a fire, and the company has not confirmed if it can be restored. Several modules were also disabled in the Kaluga facility.
Market analysts suggest these events highlight systemic risks to digital infrastructure. Industry experts anticipate rising costs for data center services as companies increase spending on physical security, insurance, and redundant sites, while also tightening resilience requirements.
