Xpeng has restructured its internal operations by consolidating four product lines into two. The company merged its I and F lines into the G line, while the D line continues to manage the Mona series. This shift aims to streamline research and development, reduce costs, and minimize internal competition between overlapping vehicle models.

The reorganization also includes changes in management roles. The former head of the F line now manages product definition for the G line, while the former head of the I line has moved to oversee overseas affairs. These internal adjustments follow a period of financial pressure, as the company reported a second-quarter net loss of ¥1.34 billion.

Financial data shows that research and development expenses increased by 32.1% year-on-year to ¥2.91 billion in the second quarter. During the first eight months of 2026, Xpeng delivered 243,111 vehicles, representing a 10.49% decline compared to the previous year. The company aims to reach 60,000 monthly deliveries in the fourth quarter through new model launches.

The company continues to expand its lineup, having launched the G9L SUV on September 17. Additionally, the Mona L05 SUV is scheduled for release in China during the fourth quarter. Xpeng also plans to offer its proprietary technologies to more foreign automakers, building on its existing partnership with Volkswagen.
