Xiaomi has expanded its Mijia DC Inverter Cooling and Heating Fan lineup with new black and gray color options. The device is currently available in China for ¥799, which is approximately $120. It is designed for year-round use, functioning as both a heater and a fan.
The unit features a cylindrical design with a base diameter of 30 cm and weighs 6.9 kg. It utilizes a brushless DC motor with copper windings and inverter control. The manufacturer reports a minimum noise level of 38.4 dBA. Users can select from three airflow modes: direct, natural breeze, and night mode.
The device includes a 2200 W ceramic heating element that provides immediate warmth upon activation. Through the Mi Home application, users can adjust heating across 100 levels. Additionally, the oscillation angle can be set between 30 and 150 degrees to optimize air distribution across the room.
The product is marketed as a space-saving alternative to separate heating and cooling appliances. While it offers both heating and ventilation functions, the technical description does not mention a compressor-based cooling cycle, distinguishing its cooling capabilities from those of a traditional air conditioner.
