Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Wireless Hair Straightener 2, an updated version of its cordless styling device. The new model features an improved battery, a USB-C charging port, and an upgraded heating system. The device is priced at $45.
The battery capacity has increased by 56 percent, allowing for up to 70 minutes of operation on a single charge. The device supports 5V and 3A power input, enabling charging via standard adapters or compatible power banks. An integrated display provides real-time data on temperature, battery level, and system status.
The heating system utilizes PI film technology with three selectable temperature settings: 160, 180, and 200 degrees Celsius. An NTC controller monitors and adjusts the heat up to 500 times per second to maintain stability. The design now includes 52 teeth and a dual-layer heat-insulating shell for safety.
The built-in ionization system generates 37 million ions, consisting of 18 million positive and 19 million negative ions, to reduce static electricity. The device weighs 330 grams and measures 206.5 by 47 by 46.5 millimeters. It includes a travel lock feature and is available in gold and purple color options.
