Xiaomi has launched the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max smartphones in China, featuring hardware-level privacy display technology. The devices include rear-facing screens for notifications and selfies, alongside a triple-camera system led by two 200-megapixel sensors.

The 18 Pro model features a 6.4-inch display and a 7,000mAh battery, while the Pro Max offers a 6.9-inch screen and an 8,500mAh battery. Both devices utilize silicon-based battery technology with a 32 percent silicon content.

Performance is driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips, with the Pro Max utilizing an Extreme version. The camera setup includes a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 200-megapixel 75mm telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.

The privacy display system supports location-based triggers and can detect prying eyes using the selfie camera. It applies privacy filters to specific apps, notifications, and split-screen views without affecting the entire display.

Pricing for the new flagship series starts at ¥5,999. Xiaomi has confirmed that at least one of the 18 Pro models will receive a global release later this year, following the China-only launch of the 18 Fold.
