The Xiaomi Smart Switch 2 has officially launched for general sale in China. The device is now available at a starting price of ¥79, following an initial crowdfunding phase where it was priced at ¥69.

The switch is offered in one, two, and three-button configurations with white or dark gray acrylic panels. The housing is constructed from V-0 grade fire-resistant polycarbonate and fits standard type 86 wall boxes. It supports both phase and neutral wiring, automatically detecting the circuit type upon installation.

The internal relay is rated for 1 million cycles, utilizing zero-crossing technology to reduce contact stress. The device includes anti-flicker protection for low-power LED lights and a temperature sensor that triggers a shutdown if overheating is detected.

Equipped with Xiaomi Mesh 2.0, the switch offers a 50% faster response time and an 80% reduction in network connection time compared to the previous generation. Users can control the device via physical buttons, the Mi Home app, or Xiao Ai voice commands.

Each button supports single, double, and long-press actions. Additionally, the buttons can be set to a wireless mode, allowing them to function as controllers for other smart home devices within the ecosystem.
