Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17C 5G smartphone in India, featuring a 6.9-inch LCD screen with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1600x720 resolution. The display includes DC Dimming and TÜV Rheinland certification for eye protection.

The device is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 4 GB or 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can expand the storage capacity up to 1 TB using a microSD card slot.

The camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor and an 8 MP front camera, with video recording limited to 1080p at 30 fps. The phone runs on HyperOS 3, which integrates Gemini Live, Circle to Search, and image generation tools.

The smartphone measures 7.99 mm in thickness and weighs 211 grams. It features IP64 protection, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Wet Touch functionality for improved screen responsiveness.

Sales are scheduled to begin on October 7. The 4/128 GB model is priced at ₹20 999 ($215), while the 6/128 GB version will retail for ₹22 999 ($235).
