Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Smart desktop dishwasher in China, designed to hold five place settings. The unit is currently listed on JD.com with a retail price of ¥1998, though regional subsidies in specific areas can reduce the cost to ¥1699.
The appliance measures 550 by 598 by 350 mm and features a white exterior with rounded corners and an integrated LED display. Inside, the system utilizes four spray arms that deliver 34 water jets at pressures reaching 30 kPa. It also includes a removable filter and internal lighting.
An AI-powered optical sensor assesses dish contamination levels in 10 seconds to select the optimal cleaning cycle from eight available modes. The machine also offers intelligent water softening. After washing, the device uses hot air drying at temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius.
The manufacturer reports a 99.9999 percent bacterial removal rate and holds a five-star disinfection certification. Integrated UV treatment allows for up to 240 hours of hygienic storage, protecting items from moisture and mold. Users can manage the device remotely via the Mi Home app.
