Xiaomi has expanded its battery upgrade program to include the Civi 4 Pro and Redmi K70 models. This service replaces the original battery with a higher-capacity unit using silicon-anode technology, allowing for increased energy density without changing the device's physical dimensions.

The standard price for this upgrade is ¥189. From October 1 to October 7, the company is offering a 20% discount, bringing the cost down to ¥151.2. Users are required to update their system software to a specified version before the service to ensure compatibility.

Because the new batteries have higher capacities, full charging times may be slightly longer than with the original components. Xiaomi notes that the upgrade program does not currently cover the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is expected to receive a similar service in the second quarter of 2027.

The battery upgrade initiative previously launched for the Xiaomi 13 series in 2026 and the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro models on October 1. The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, released in March 2024, features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the Redmi K70, launched in November 2023, uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
