Xiaomi has officially announced the upcoming launch of its new flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 18 Pro. Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group, confirmed that the new devices will be priced higher than the previous Xiaomi 17 Pro models, which currently retail for ¥5700 or $850.

The company justifies the price increase by citing the most significant upgrade in the history of its flagship line. Key improvements include a new mobile platform built on a 2-nanometer process, a redesigned rear display, an updated main screen using M11 material with 0.99 mm bezels, and a Leica camera system featuring two 200-megapixel sensors.

The product lineup will include the Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. The standard Pro model will feature a 7000 mAh battery, while the Max version will be equipped with an 8500 mAh battery. Specific pricing for the new models has not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer.
