Xiaomi has unveiled the SuperPixel 2.0 display technology for its upcoming flagship series, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. A key feature of this screen is the Smart Privacy Screen, which provides hardware-level protection against unauthorized viewing from side angles. Unlike standard privacy filters, this system allows users to selectively hide specific applications, interface areas, or lock screen notifications.
The privacy settings can be managed through a dedicated AI button for quick activation or via the Super Xiao Ai voice assistant. Users can define specific scenarios for data protection through voice commands. The display itself is built using the new M11 material and features ultra-thin bezels measuring 0.99 mm in width.
The official launch of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max is scheduled for September 23. The devices will be equipped with a 2-nanometer processor, a Leica camera system featuring two 200-megapixel sensors, and Jinshajiang batteries with a 32% silicon content. CEO Lu Weibing has confirmed that the new models will be priced higher than their predecessors.
