Images of a protective case for the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro reveal design changes compared to the current Xiaomi 17 Pro model. The accessory features a larger camera module cutout, a slightly taller frame, and an additional physical button. The expanded space for the camera suggests the integration of larger sensors or updated optics.
The new physical button is expected to provide quick access to artificial intelligence features within the HyperOS interface. Xiaomi previously implemented dedicated buttons in its Mi 9 and MIX 3 models. Reports indicate the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor and may feature a 200-megapixel SmartSens main camera with LOFIC 3.0 technology.
Xiaomi is reportedly considering the return of a transparent back design, last seen on the Mi 10 Ultra. The company plans to launch the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in September 2026, while the base model, codenamed Venice, is expected between December 2026 and January 2027. Plans for a Xiaomi 18 Ultra model have allegedly been canceled.
