Microsoft is currently facing supply shortages for the Xbox Series X console across several international markets, including Europe and Latin America. Due to these constraints, some retailers have significantly increased prices, in some instances doubling the official suggested retail price.

In Sweden, reports indicate that only one retailer currently stocks the console, with prices reaching approximately $1 600. This is notably higher than the standard retail price of SEK 7 770 for the 1TB disc-drive model. These shortages are attributed to a combination of rising memory costs and increased demand driven by the anticipation of the game GTA6.

Microsoft acknowledged in June that ongoing shortages of memory and storage components are impacting production. While the company is shifting its strategy to focus on exclusive titles, the supply gap for the Xbox Series X remains, though it is noted to be less severe than the shortages currently affecting the Sony PlayStation 5 series.

In the Chinese market, the 1TB Xbox Series X currently retails for approximately ¥4 500 to ¥4 600 for new units, with second-hand models priced between ¥2 600 and ¥3 000. For comparison, the Sony PS5 Slim 1TB disc version is priced between ¥4 200 and ¥4 500 for new units and ¥3 000 to ¥3 400 for used devices.
