Wyze has launched the Ultra BodyScan Plus, an updated version of its smart scale that features a 4.3-inch customizable color screen integrated into a retractable handle. This design shift allows users to view health measurements at eye level. The device is available now via the company's online store in black or white for $149.
The new model offers tracking for over 50 health metrics, including visceral fat, protein levels, and basal metabolic rate, compared to 13 metrics on the previous version. It utilizes bioelectrical impedance analysis to provide a breakdown of body composition across the arms, legs, and torso. The handle can also be docked to the scale for standard measurements.
The scale supports synchronization with Apple Health, Google Health, and Android Health Connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It stores data for up to eight registered users and includes a guest mode for unlimited one-off measurements. Additionally, the device features a specific mode for weighing children, pets, or luggage without providing advanced health metrics.
Unlike some competitors that require paid subscriptions for third-party app integration, Wyze provides all features of the Ultra BodyScan Plus without any monthly or annual fees. The new model is priced $30 higher than the original Ultra BodyScan, which retails for $119.98.
