Kingsoft Office has officially launched the native desktop-class application WPS for Pad on the Xiaomi App Store. The software is designed specifically for tablets and the Xiaomi 18 Fold, requiring devices to run the Xiaomi HyperOS 4 operating system.
Unlike previous versions based on Linux containers, this release is a native Android application. It features a ribbon layout consistent with the Mac version and supports the four main modules: text, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDF editing. The interface is optimized for multi-window management, allowing users to drag and drop documents freely.
The application integrates WPS AI 3.0 and the WPS Lingxi intelligent agent. These tools enable features such as voice command operations, automated summarization of long documents, natural language generation for spreadsheet formulas, and AI-powered PPT creation. It also supports WPS 365 team collaboration and stylus annotations.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold, which supports this application, was released on September 7, 2026, with a starting price of ¥10 999. The device features a 5.38-inch external screen and a 7.58-inch internal screen. Xiaomi HyperOS 4, the system required for the app, was released in August 2026 and is built on the proprietary Xiaomi MiMo large model.
