World has officially launched World Money, a self-custody financial super app. The platform is now available in over 150 countries, though specific features depend on the user's location. The application integrates stablecoin payments, digital asset trading, and reward programs for deposited assets.
The app includes access to third-party Mini Apps such as Kalshi, Credit, and Morpho. A new partnership with Stripe enables US users to fund accounts and purchase stablecoins using Apple Pay. These financial services were previously part of the World App, which launched in May 2023.
The company has restructured its services into two separate applications. The World ID App now manages identity verification, while World Money focuses on wallet and payment functionality. Existing users can access the new platform using their current account credentials.
World Money is developed and operated by Tools for Humanity, a company co-founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania. The transition follows a series of updates, including the introduction of virtual bank accounts in November 2025 that allow users to convert deposits into USDC.
