World, the project operated by Tools for Humanity, released its World ID integration for Zoom on October 16, 2026. The tool, which was in beta since April 2026, is now available in the Zoom App Marketplace. It verifies users by performing a cryptographic match between a reference iris image from an Orb device, a user selfie, and a live video frame.
The company also launched a separate World ID suite designed for banks and regulated industries. This infrastructure aims to prevent AI impersonation during high-stakes activities like wire transfers and executive approvals. The suite is intended to function as an additional layer alongside existing Know Your Customer processes.
Early partners testing the enterprise suite include Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake, and VanEck Funds. The new tools are built on the World ID 4.0 protocol, which focuses on enterprise-grade security. The system requires users to have previously completed an iris scan via an Orb device to function.
