WeChat has introduced a dedicated entry point for posting private Moments, simplifying a process that previously required manual settings for each post. Users can now select the private option directly, with the ability to toggle visibility to public later if desired.
Tencent confirmed that the feature is currently undergoing gray-scale testing on both iOS and Android platforms. The company noted that the function is not yet available for all users, as adaptation for other device types, including HarmonyOS, is still in progress.
To access the new feature, users navigate through the 'Me' tab to 'Moments' and select 'Private Post'. Once published, the content remains visible only to the author. Tencent has not provided a specific timeline for a full rollout across all operating systems.
