Waymo has expanded its commercial robotaxi service from three cities in September 2024 to 15 U.S. cities today. The company now reports an average of 500,000 paid rides per week.

The company operates a fleet of approximately 4,000 robotaxis, with 80% concentrated in California and Texas. In Texas, the fleet grew by 49% over the last three weeks, reaching 1,102 registered vehicles by September 24, 2026.

Growth is driven by the introduction of the Ojai minivan, a modified Zeekr RT vehicle based on the Geely SEA-M platform. These minivans now account for about one-third of the company's Texas fleet.

Waymo outfits the imported vehicles with its sixth-generation self-driving system at its Arizona factory. Despite import tariffs on Chinese-built vehicles, the company plans to import 5,100 Ojai units by the end of 2026.
