Walmart Data Ventures is updating its Scintilla platform with new conversational AI tools. These features allow users to analyze performance drivers, explore business queries, and build custom dashboards for monitoring data insights.

The platform will also introduce personalized experiences and custom alerts. Starting next year, Scintilla will consolidate insights from first-party and Marketplace operations, providing brands with a unified view of their business on Walmart.com.

The Scintilla In-Store tool, introduced in February, now incorporates AI-powered recommendations to assist supplier field representatives. This module helps staff identify tasks that require immediate attention within physical retail locations.

Scintilla was previously known as Walmart Luminate until its rebranding in 2025. The platform's expansion follows a 2024 announcement regarding plans to enter new global markets and banners. The in-store component originated from the Volt platform, which Walmart acquired in 2022.
