Volkswagen has received over 30,000 orders for the ID. Polo across Europe, with demand significantly exceeding original expectations, especially in Germany. The company confirmed that high customer interest and planned production capacities at the Martorell plant have resulted in longer delivery times.
Waiting periods for individually configured models are estimated at ten months or more. However, some pre-configured vehicles are available in dealer stocks and may be delivered faster once official sales begin.
The entry-level ID. Polo Trend starts at €24,995, featuring a 37 kWh LFP battery, an 85 kW motor, and a WLTP range of 323 kilometers. It supports 88 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in 23 minutes.
Higher trim levels, Life and Style, can be equipped with either the 37 kWh or a larger 52 kWh NMC battery, with power options of 99 kW or 155 kW. Pre-sales for the 166 kW ID. Polo GTI will start in autumn at a price just under €39,000.
Similar trends are seen in sister models from Škoda and Cupra. Specifically, Škoda has reported more than 35,000 orders for the Epiq model.
