VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC), a joint venture between Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation and NXP Semiconductors, has officially opened its first 300 mm wafer fabrication plant in Tampines, Singapore. The facility was established following a partnership formed in September 2024.

Construction of the fab took 22 months, starting with a groundbreaking ceremony in December 2024. The site has already processed its first sample lot, achieving a yield rate exceeding 99 percent. The facility is currently in the risk production phase.

The company plans to initiate volume production in the first quarter of 2027. The plant will utilize process technologies from 130 nm to 40 nm. It is designed to support mixed-signal, power management, analog, and interposer applications for various sectors, including automotive and high-performance computing.
