Volt, led by CEO Peter Leeson, has shifted its primary focus to the Australian market, moving away from initial plans for a US launch. The company now offers a comprehensive energy ecosystem for homeowners, including solar tiles, EV chargers, heat pumps, and battery storage systems.

The updated Volt solar tile features a double-glass design with 3.2 mm layers and M12 cells, which are 240 mm wider than previous versions. While currently manufactured in China, the company is exploring options for domestic production in Australia, specifically citing a potential partnership with Tindo.

The business has expanded into utility-scale projects, including the development of 5 MW solar and battery farms. Volt has completed installations in six countries across four continents, with 50 roof projects finalized in Australia, primarily in Sydney and Melbourne.

Volt reports that a 15 kW solar roof can generate approximately 34 kWh daily in winter and up to 90 kWh in summer. The system utilizes a hybrid inverter, a 24–27 kWh home battery, and a 12.5 kW DC EV charger on a single DC bus to minimize energy loss.

Customers report annual savings of approximately 8,000 dollars, combining 4,800 dollars in electricity costs and 3,200 dollars in fuel expenses. The company is currently seeking additional funding through a crowdfunding campaign to support its ongoing expansion.
