Volcano Engine has released the 0915 version of the Doubao 2.1 Pro large model, which is now fully available via the Volcano Ark API. Users can access the updated model by selecting the 0915 version in the latest Doubao application. The update has also been integrated into the TRAE platform and the Doubao-Seed-Evolving model launched in June.
The update focuses on enterprise-grade requirements, including Agent task delivery, multimodal coding, and multimodal understanding. The model now features improved evidence tracing, authoritative source retrieval, and data verification, which reduces hallucinations during tool usage. These enhancements are designed for long-report tasks such as financial research and office automation.
The multimodal coding capabilities have been upgraded to handle complex code repositories, including cross-file and long-range issues. The model can now interpret design drafts, blueprints, and screen recordings to generate frontend code or game logic. Additionally, video reasoning has been improved for tasks like evidence localization and SOP verification.
The model now supports advanced image understanding, including 3D objects, CAD components, and complex document structures like financial reports or PDF footnotes. Token efficiency has also been optimized, with token consumption for image and video reasoning reduced by more than 30% compared to the previous generation, lowering costs for high-frequency tasks.
