Vivo has officially launched the X500 series, featuring the standard and Pro models. These devices are equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro or 9600M processors. The starting price for the new lineup is set at ¥5499.
Following the launch, Vivo Vice President Huang Tao confirmed that the X500 Ultra model is currently in development. The company expects to release this flagship device between March and April of next year, targeting professional creators and advanced users.
The upcoming X500 Ultra is expected to feature significant camera upgrades to distinguish it from the Pro Max version. Reports suggest the integration of a 200-megapixel telephoto sensor, with testing currently involving sensors in the 1/1.12-inch, 1/1.3-inch, and 1/1.4-inch formats.
The manufacturer is also testing two distinct 35mm primary camera configurations for the new flagship. These include a 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch Lofic sensor paired with a micro-gimbal optical stabilization system, as well as a 200-megapixel 1/1.12-inch Lofic sensor.
